A dramatic police chase started last night in Gloucester after a car allegedly shot out of a cross roads junction and narrowly missed a passing armed response police vehicle.
The 4x4 car was patrolling in the Barton area when the blue Ford Fiesta sped across the road from Millbrook Street across to Vauxhall Road, missing a serious collision with the officers by just 'one metre'.
What followed was a dramatic pursuit through the area before the two men dumped the car in Old Painswick...

Diamond and gold jewellery stolen in Whitminster burglary
Thieves who removed a safe from the wall of a Gloucestershire home stole diamond, gold and ruby jewellery as well as £300 in cash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a daytime burglary in Whitminster yesterday where private documents were also taken.
The incident happened in Paynes Meadow between 11.30am and 2pm.
