Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted with a hammer on a playing field in King's Stanley.
The incident happened on the village green shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday (17 April).
The victim, a 27-year-old Gloucester woman, was walking a friend across the field when they were approached by a woman and two men who were known to them.
The victim was then attacked by the woman, who is believed to have struck the victim in the face with a hammer.
